An offer can look inconsistent before checkout even opens. The dollar amounts here are illustrative. First confirm that the ad and page describe the same item, option and eligible shopper.
An established platform check
Google Merchant Center documents product-feed and landing-page price mismatches that can affect product approval. That is a separate diagnostic workflow. A different variant, currency, tax display or later discount can explain a difference without proving a storefront defect.
Compare the same offer at each step.
- 01
Open the published link.
Use the actual campaign destination, including its parameters. Note the advertised option, visible conditions and currency. A working homepage does not validate the offer.
- 02
Check price and availability.
Confirm the selected size or color matches the ad and is available. Review the promotion's dates and eligibility before calling a different price wrong.
- 03
Compare the cart line.
Add one eligible item. Compare its line price, keeping shipping, tax and order totals separate. Review required codes or later discounts through your platform's own test process.
After the fix, repeat it.
After correcting the offer, feed or storefront, repeat the same link and option. Recheck when the promotion ends or the promoted stock changes.
Where ShopPath helps.
ShopPath checks an encountered storefront path. It does not audit ad targeting, Merchant Center feeds, every promotion rule or final payment totals.
Use only a store you own or are authorized to test. Stop at checkout entry, before submitting customer details or payment. Testing begins after approval.
